Iskra ISD - Galvanika d. o. o. uses advanced technologies for surface protection. The basic ones are zinc plating, plating of alloyed zinc-iron and zinc-nickel coating systems with the possibility of chromate coating without six-valent chrome (requirements of RoHS European Directive) for high-corrosion protection i.e. over 1000 hours of exposure in a salt chamber without any corrosion noticed on a basic material. Processing is performed in barrels and on racks. Surface protection of nickel plating, copper plating, zinc plating and chemical polishing of copper and brass are also performed. Processing is carried out in barrel.

In 2006, the company was granted the ISO/TS 16949 automotive standard, which proves a high quality of our services.

ZINC PLATING IN BARRELS WITH PASSIVATION WITHOUT Cr6+:

  • additional protection of zinc plating with blue, thick-layer or yellow passivation,
  • additional protection with sealing.

Zinc plating on racks

  • additional protection of zinc plating with blue or thick-layer passivation or yellow or black chromating,
  • additional protection with, sealing
  • tank dimensions are 1800 X 1200 X 400 mm.

Zinc-nickel alloy on racks

ALLOYED ZINC-NICKEL Zn/Ni COATING WITH BLACK AND TRANSPARENT PASSIVATION WITHOUT Cr 6+ ADITIONAL PROTECTED WITH SEALER, PRODUCED ON THE RACKS.

The highest demands for corrosion and temperature resistance, especially in automotive industry, are met by depositing Zn/Ni alloy. 12 to 15% of nickel in a coating ensures a high corrosion protection for technical purposes, which is recognized by all European car manufacturers. It also offers protection at temperature loads up to 160°C and does not cause contact corrosion in contact with aluminium.

Zinc-nickel alloy in barrels

ALLOYED ZINC-IRON Zn/Ni COATING WITH BLACK AND TRANSPARENT PASSIVATION WITHOUT Cr 6+ IN BARRELS

Phosphating in zinc phosphate

Phosphating in zinc phosphate with or without oiling, produced in barrels or on racks.

Copper plating, nickel plating, tin plating in barrels

  • Nickel plating and copper plating in 100 kg barrels
  • Ni/Ni, Ni/Sn system or brilliance tin in 100 kg barrels
  • On Cu, Ni, Sn galvanic line the pieces are processed in 30 or 5 kg barrels
  • Depositing of “combined”, multi-layer galvanic protection

Chemical polishing of copper or brass in barrels

  • The procedure is performed by etching copper or copper alloys which are subsequently anti-corrosion treated.
  • Introduction of anti-corrosion protection without the presence of 6-valent chrome.

Quality

Since great emphasis is laid on quality, process and final parameters are constantly monitored by different methods. High quality of our services is proved by the granted ISO/TS 16949 certificate. We master a composition of galvanic baths based on qualitative and quantitative analyses, and measure thickness and composition of galvanic coating with the X-ray method.

X-Ray MAXXI device enables:

  • Measurement of thickness of all types of galvanic coatings
  • Determination of content of nickel in Zn/Ni alloyed coating and content of iron in Zn/Fe alloyed coating
  • Quantitative analysis of galvanic coating
  • Determination of composition of brass
  • Determination of composition of chrome-nickel steel.

CADAS 200 spectrophotometer enables:

  • Spectral analysis of anions and cations in galvanic baths and wastewater.

Analysis laboratory

  • Performs quantitative volumetric analyses of all baths and wastewater.

Accredited laboratory:

  • Cation concentration is defined with the AAS method
  • Galvanic coatings are tested for corrosion resistance in salt spray chamber in compliance with DIN 50021 SS
